The National Women's Caucus of the Green Party of the United States has done it again. They seem to have an issue with honest discussions about matters of policy within the party, accountability of party leadership, challenges to the ideology of the men who have colonized their space, what-have-you. This is not their first time silencing the women who are their members, or removing those members from their listserve or prioritizing the hurt feelings of the men who tell them they are women on their applications for membership in the National Women's Caucus of the Green Party of the United States. You were emailed a warning on 7/22 that listed actions that violated the bylaws and warned that further actions would result in removal from the email list and possibly the caucus. Yesterday you sent an email to the listserv that criticized a member by name in an attached PDF. The goal of the caucus is to provide a safe and supportive place for all our members. These actions have instead created an intimidating and harassing environment. Per bylaw III.3 you may reapply after six months with a written request that includes a statement of desire to cooperate with NWC rules and process.

Members shall maintain a good voting record and are urged to participate in NWC business, leadership and activities.

Removal of NWC Members/Email List Etiquette/Appeal Process for Re-Instatement: Any member who breaks confidentiality, explicit NWC rules, consistently cannot follow agreed upon processes, engages in illegal behavior or similar may be sent written notice from the co-chairs by agreement of the NWC Coordinating Committee (NWC CC), and may be removed from all NWC email lists. Review of list etiquette will be offered. If that is accepted and applied the member will be reinstated on the email lists. If it is refused, the member may be removed from the NWC and the email lists. Members who have been removed can reapply after six months with a written request that includes a statement of desire to cooperate with NWC rules and process. The application should include all verification requirements. The removal process and process for appeal and re-instatement may be further defined in the Operating Rules.
